A Visual Scrapbook: Eurotrip 2012

This is a full length video of my first trip to Europe with my friend John. Years ago I made a music video using these same clips, but I’ve recently been sorting out some old video files on my hard drives and I have decided to create these small videos properly documenting my trips. While the music videos are cool, these new videos provide a fuller story because I’m not omitting original audio nor am I speeding all the clips up. I’m calling them “visual scrapbooks” because my friend and I weren’t consciously creating vlogs, we were just filming clips when we felt like it. I will be creating a visual scrapbook of my Southeast Asia 2015 and Eurotrip 2016 trips as well, so be sure to look out for those.

Anyway, here’s A Visual Scrapbook: Eurotrip 2012. I hope you enjoy!

Hello Istanbul!

I'm headed to Portugal in a few weeks for about 10 I'm headed to Portugal in a few weeks for about 10 days. Normally, I would make my own travel journal to take with me. But I've been so busy with work and making things for a craft fair I'm doing in September that I just don't have the time.

I purchased this beautiful embroidered passport-sized journal from @moonsideparlour a while ago and IDK, it just speaks Portugal to me! The embroidery is just so lush! And I love the vintage vibe. So I've decided to use it as my journal for this trip.

It's smaller than I'm normally used to, but its fits so nicely in my passport TN and for the type of trip I'm going on, I think it would be perfect. I anticipate that I won't have very much time to journal while on this trip, so having something small to stick things into will be great.

I am planning to prep the pages before I go and add a few things in to decorate the pages more so they are more me, as well as put together a small kit to bring along with me. But I've very excited to use someone else's journal for a change! x

I really enjoyed this book! It reminded me a bit of Sarah Dessen's The Rest of the Story, so it makes total sense why I loved it so much. It is a two person narrative and it flip flops between the present and the past, and while that was fine, I wish there was a little more of the present story so it evens out the past chapters. But what a cute summer read! x

What a magical place! I could spend hours wandering the place.

I share more in my latest YouTube video, but man was I inspired after this visit! x
